The snake

When I was a hotel receptionist, a guest came up to me  one day. He told me he saw a snake in the lobby behind the sofa. Then I calmed him down because he was very scared of the grass snake.

I don’t like snakes because they are disgusting. I wasn’t scared, rather disgusted.

I checked the snake and  when I saw it wasn’t too big, only about 30 cm, I thought I would find a broom and a shovel and pick it up and throw it away. The operation lasted for about 20 seconds, because I didn’t have to touch the snake.

I was a real hero of the day.

Fortunately grass snakes don’t come inside the hotel every day, so it’s not a big problem.
